How do you get a student loan without a cosigner ?

I am a school student and currently attending my school for my undergraduate studies. I was planning to get the student loans without cosigner. Can anyone give me some tips on how do I get the student loans without a cosigner? One more thing that I forget to mention is that my credit history is not so good so that I can apply for the credit based loans.

Billybobshot 		There is a majority of students that are looking for these kinds of loans that are not based on your credit history. The government based loans does not require a cosigner and good credits. But when you go for the private student loans, a good credit history is must to avail the loans. There are some points you should consider first before taking the decision to go for the bad credit student loans without cosigner.

1. First of all look for the federal loans like Stafford loans as a solution. These loans have a problem that you cannot totally pay your college fee using these federal loans because the amount is granted is relatively lower than your school fee. It happens due to your no credit history and has very low limits. In the first year you can opt $2,650.

2. FAFSA is a very good way to get the loans and you can fill the online form by visiting www.fafsa.ed.gov

3. The federal banks offer the student loans with bad credit so one must try for this option

4. If you college is providing any kind of scholarships or grants then you must need to apply for that too as they can also be a great assets

Those who have both the bad credit and no cosigner should go for the federal lenders only because no private lender will provide them loan if both the things are absent.
